Gireesh Kumar J, is a PhD student in Nanobios Lab. His area of research involves development of a handheld device to detect skin cancer. He is a graduate in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. After qualifying GATE 2011, he did his M.Tech in Signal Processing and Control at National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. After M.Tech, he worked as Assistant Professor at Kumaraguru College for Technology, Coimbatore for 4 years (2014 - 2018). He has qualified GATE 2018 and joined Ph.D at IIT Bombay (2018). He is interested in interdisciplinary translational research, where the theoretical knowledge of various fields are applied to develop solutions for real world problems.
